NewsHome: Hyperlocal News Platform in 14 Languages Launched

Gorakhpur: In a unique initiative to connect India's linguistic diversity with digital journalism, a new news website named NewsHome is being launched. The platform aims to deliver news to every Indian in his or her own language.

The biggest highlight of this platform is that not only readers but also reporters can read and post news in 14 Indian languages in a very simple way.

What is special about NewsHome?

Generally, news portals work in only 1 or 2 languages, but NewsHome has brought together the major languages of India on a single platform. According to the data available on the website, hundreds of news articles have already been published in different languages in the initial phase itself.

The 14 languages available on NewsHome are:

1. Hindi - 2. Bhojpuri - 3. Marathi - 4. Gujarati - 5. Kannada - 6. Telugu - 7. Malayalam - 8. Bengali - 9. Assamese - 10. Punjabi - 11. Odia - 12. Tamil - 13. Urdu - 14. English.

A screenshot of the platform's database shows that the maximum content is in Hindi, while news is also being posted rapidly in Bhojpuri, Marathi, Gujarati and Kannada.

From Reporter to Reader, in Your Own Language

The model of NewsHome has been kept very simple.
