WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new wallpaper feature that will help users set different wallpapers in different chats. Earlier this new feature was spotted in iOS beta version, and now work has started on this feature for Android users as well. The development on this feature has been seen in WhatsApp v2.20.199.5 beta for Android. As we mentioned, this feature is currently under development, so due to this this feature is not available to the users yet. Nor can users of the beta version use this feature right now. It is believed that WhatsApp will release this feature for beta users in the future and then this feature will be made available to everyone.

New Wallpapers for Android by WABetaInfo feature Seen in WhatsApp v2.20.199.5 beta. As per the report of WhatsApp Tracker, when users select the default wallpaper in the app, they will be asked if they want to download the WhatsApp Wallpaper app. According to the report, this is the official WhatsApp app, which will provide wallpapers for the social media platform. This app is also available on Google Play List and was last updated in 2011. As soon as the wallpaper feature goes live, WhatsApp will update the app with new options.

As we mentioned, this new wallpaper feature allows users to set different wallpapers in different chats, similar to the one previously seen on iOS. WABetaInfo says that this feature will also be rolled out to Android users in the future, although the exact rollout date is not clear yet.

It is noteworthy that recently News It was revealed that WhatsApp is reportedly working on redesigning the storage section of its chat app so that users can easily manage storage and create space by deleting unnecessary files. The redesigned feature will feature a storage bar at the top, which gives details of the space used by media files shared on WhatsApp. Apart from this, a clean up option has also been given in the screenshot, in which forward and large files will be listed along with thumbnail view which gives users the option to delete non-essential files to free up space. This feature is also currently under development, and it has not been enabled for WhatsApp beta users as of now.
