The Instagram Threads update was first made public by tipster Jane Manchun Wong. He has shared a screenshot of the new feature of Instagram on his Twitter handle. As seen in the screenshot shared, even after the update, chats with close friends will still be prioritized in the inbox. By default notifications in threads are enabled only for close friends, but the settings can be changed in the app.
Let us tell you, Threads was launched by Instagram last year, in which users can chat with people they have marked as close friends on Instagram. The image centric messaging app also lets users share automatic status updates like ‘On the Move,’ ‘Out and About’ and ‘Low Battery’.
Threads lets you send photos and videos to your close friends instantly, but now any user on your Instagram can easily join you. However, this interface looks exactly the same as before. The update changelog mentions that close friends will still have priority over Messages, Status and Stories.
Let us tell you, only last week, Facebook removed its two important services Instagram and Messenger. Sickness Had done it. After this merger, now Messenger user can message directly to Instagram user.
