Western Digital launches 2 new hard drives in India

American data storage company Western Digital on Wednesday launched two new hard drives in the Indian market. The hard drives called ‘My Passport’ and ‘My Book’ are equipped with password protection and hardware encryption.

The portable hard drives ‘My Passport’ are available in 1 TB, 2 TB and 4 TB capacities with prices starting at Rs 7,980, Rs 11,910 and Rs 17,140 respectively.

The desktop hard drive ‘MyBook’ is available in 3TB, 4TB, 6TB and 8TB capacities with prices of Rs 13,050, Rs 16,470, Rs 26,600 and Rs 29,500 respectively.

“The use of data is increasing day by day. Hence, reiterating the importance of personal data solutions, we have introduced these products,” Khalid Wani, Director, Content Solutions Business, Western Digital, said in a statement.

The devices are available in Black, Red, White and Blue colors and come with a two-year warranty.
