WhatsApp has reportedly rolled out voice and video calls for its desktop users. After availing this feature, users can enjoy WhatsApp calling directly from their desktop. Till now, the facility of video and voice calls on WhatsApp was limited only to the mobile app. Recently, it was informed in the reports that the WhatsApp call facility will now be made available for desktop and web clients as well. As per the report, the latest update is currently in beta stage and it appears to have been rolled out to a limited number of people.

Users who have seen the WhatsApp calling feature on their desktop can also receive calls through their app. As seen in the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, when a call is received using WhatsApp Web on the desktop, a pop-up window opens showing the option to pick up or cut the call.

However, it becomes important to mention here that you need to connect your phone to the WhatsApp desktop app to make calls through desktop. This is similar to how you access messages through WhatsApp’s desktop and web clients.
