Xiaomi has upgraded the 13.3-inch variant of its Mi Notebook Air laptop in China. The upgraded variant now has the latest eighth-generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors. In order to compete directly with Apple’s MacBook Air, Xiaomi has launched the Mi Notebook Air. Introduced in July 2016. The latest variant is available for pre-order on the website for a price of 5,399 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 53,800) and deliveries will start from January 24. The laptop runs on Windows 10 Home Edition. Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air is now also available in a new Dark Gray colour.

As we mentioned, Xiaomi has launched the latest variant of the 13.3-inch variant of Mi Notebook Air in China. The new Intel Core i5-8250U and Core i7-8550U processors have now been given in the laptop. The notebook was upgraded in July last year with an Nvidia GeForce MX150 graphics card and 2GB of RAM GDDR5 DRAM.

Apart from the specifications mentioned above, the Xiaomi 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air packs 8GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB PCIe SSD and expandable hard disk support. The Core i5 model comes with a maximum frequency of 3.4 GHz while the Core i7 variant comes with a maximum clock speed of 4.0 GHz.

This laptop flaunts a 13.3-inch Full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with 170 degree viewing angle and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. This device has Bluetooth 4.1 support, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac band and a one-megapixel front camera for video calling. Talking about the battery, the laptop packs a 40W Lithium-Ion battery which is claimed to provide up to 9.5 hours of battery life. The laptop has a USB Type-C port that supports fast charging technology. In terms of connectivity, it has a USB 3.0 port, HDMI port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The notebook has a fingerprint sensor that allows the desktop to be activated or unlocked.

The dimensions of the 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air are 309.6×210.9×14.8mm and weighing 1.3kg.
