Maharashtra ST Workers Protest: ST workers suddenly staged a sit-in outside the residence of NCP President Sharad Pawar at Silver Oak. Meanwhile, ST workers ransacked the premises of Silver Oak and started agitation. A group of ST workers created a ruckus today demanding complete merger of ST Corporation.
It is learned that the protesters ransacked the premises of Sharad Pawar’s Silver Oak residence and threw slippers. The protesting ST workers directly attacked Sharad Pawar’s residence, which is likely to have dire consequences. The High Court on Wednesday ruled in favor of all ST workers till April 22. Therefore, the government has ordered not to take action against any employee.
Salah Gunaratna Sadavarte had also announced to withdraw the movement. While ST workers were returning to work, today suddenly ST workers staged a sit-in directly in the residence premises of NCP President Sharad Pawar. Meanwhile, the employees entered the housing area. Meanwhile, the agitation has started as the employees are angry with the government. Sadabhau Khot of Rayat Kranti Sangathan has replied that the movement of ST workers has gone astray.
The High Court has disposed of all other petitions including the petition of the Corporation against the ST strike. A copy of the High Court’s decision was issued today. The court has directed the workers to return to work by April 22, 2022. The protest which has been going on for several days is finally over. ST employees have been ordered to return to work by April 22. On the other hand, orders have been issued to the government not to take action against ST employees. The High Court has also directed the corporation to give pension to ST employees. After the order of the High Court, there is a possibility of ST running again in the state.
