This latest smartphone of realme Realme GT Neo 3 And Realme GT Neo 3 (150W) The name has been launched in two models. There are also two options in the model with 80W fast charging support. Its 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model comes for Rs 36,999 and the 8GB RAM + 256GB model comes for Rs 38,999. The 150W charging model gets a 150W charger inside the box. It has 12 GB RAM and 128 GB storage and the price is Rs 42,999. Different battery capacities have been given in both the models. The 80W phone packs a 5,000mAh battery while the 150W model has a 4,500mAh battery.
I had the top end 150W model. In terms of looks, it resembles the old model. The phone has a polycarbonate frame and a matte glass back panel. Even weighing 188 grams, it does not feel too heavy. There is one major change in the design, it is the two racing stripes that give it a sporty look. The phone can be chosen from Nitro Blue, Sprint White and Asphalt Black colors. Its asphalt black gives a more soft look as it does not have racing stripes.
Realme GT Neo 3 has a 6.7-inch Full HD Plus AMOLED display. For scratch protection, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 has been given in it. Compared to the GT Neo 2, the display comes with a 120Hz peak refresh rate and thinner bezels at the bottom.
The highlight of the Realme GT Neo 3 (150W) is its 150W charging capability. Realme claims that the 150W model is equipped with its “Ultradart” adaptive charging controller. It can charge up to 50 percent of the battery in just five minutes.
The phone’s battery is divided into two units with the capacity of each unit being 2,250mAh. When it comes to battery safety, the company says that its charging system is TUV Rheinland certified. It has a Smart MCU Control Management System, which disconnects it from the power source if anything goes wrong with the battery. The company claims that its battery can retain 80 percent of its holding capacity even after completing 1,600 charge cycles.
A major change in Realme GT Neo 3 has been made in the form of MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor. The processor is good but how the device performed with it in gaming and daily basis, you will have to wait for the full review. Realme says that it has given a second dedicated processor for the display, which reduces the GPU load by increasing motion estimation, motion compensation and also reducing the overall battery consumption of the phone.
I did not like the camera performance in Realme GT Neo 2. In terms of sensor resolution in GT Neo 3, it seems to be downgraded. The primary lens is 50 megapixels, with which optical image stabilization is available. The same 8-megapixel camera is available as the Ultra Wide, along with a 2-megapixel macro camera. There is a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
The phone runs on Realme UI 3 with Android 12. The phone seems to have all the Android 12 features, but I also noticed a lot of pre-installed third party apps.
The Realme GT Neo 3 seems to be a really strong phone. It has a 120Hz refresh rate, the new MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC, and surprisingly fast 150W charging. The main lens has OIS support which is not available in this segment. Is this a better upgrade over the old model? And to know how it competes with the recently launched OnePlus 10R, definitely check out the full review.
