Considering that the Lenovo K6 Power has a big battery, your first look at its build is. It is not heavy. Dimensions are 141.90×70.30×9.30mm and weighing 145 grams. It can’t be called slim by today’s standards, but we didn’t mind using it with one hand. Talking about the design, Lenovo has not tried to do anything unique. But the K6 Power gives a feeling of being more premium than its price tag. The credit for this goes to the metal body.

The 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display has a pixel density of 441 ppi. We found the display to be sharp, but we could not test it in outdoor light. There is no physical button on the front panel of the handset. There are three capacitive buttons for Home, Back and Recent. Volume and power buttons are present on the left edge of the device. These were easy to reach when used with one hand.
On the rear side of the smartphone is a 13-megapixel camera with a fingerprint sensor. The rear camera has Sony IMX258 sensor. The sensor of the front camera is 8 megapixels. It has IMX219 sensor with wide angle lens. In the short time we spent with the K6 Power, we would consider both the cameras to be its positive side.
A variety of modes have been given in the camera app of the phone for the novice user as well as the professional. Some tips have also been given to the common user on how to take good pictures through the special mode. At the same time, professional users can change the settings according to their wish and take better pictures.
Lenovo has given a new security feature in the phone, with the help of which selected apps can be locked through fingerprint or passcode. The company claims that the fingerprint scanner is very fast and with its help it is possible to unlock the device from standby mode in just 0.3 seconds. We will be able to investigate these claims only during the review.
The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow on top of which the company’s Vibe Pure UI skin has been used. It is powered by 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with 3GB RAM. In the limited time we spent with the handset, we did not find any difference in the performance of the device. Sadly, not many apps were available on the handset for testing. At this price, Lenovo K6 Power will compete with Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime and Coolpad Note 5 which are available for Rs 8,999 and Rs 10,999 respectively. Both these phones have bigger batteries, but the K6 Power is also better in many respects. The Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime comes with HD (720×1280 pixels) screen while the Coolpad Note 5 has a full-HD resolution display, but it costs more.
