Instagram’s new TikTok-like feature ‘Reels’ is going to be rolled out in the testing phase in India from today, which will start at 7.30 pm. Recently there was news that the Facebook-owned company is testing its new short video feature in India, this new feature is very similar to Tiktok named ‘Reels’. Let us tell you, after Brazil, France and Germany, India is the fourth country where ‘Reels’ are being tested. As we mentioned, this feature will be rolled out in India from this evening, after which users will be able to watch short videos of popular content creators in the Reels section of Instagram. The content creators that Instagram has chosen for the Reels feature include Radhika Bangia, Jhanvi Dasetti aka Mahathalli, Indrani Biswas aka Wondermunna and Ammy Virk.

The Reels feature is integrated into the Instagram app. To create a reels video on Instagram, the user has to open the camera in the Instagram app, after which you will see the option of Reels at the bottom of the screen, by clicking on which you can create your reels video. Instagram has also provided some tools to use this feature, so that you can record and edit your 15 second video.

You can also use in-app music tracks to create videos and custom audios. Apart from this, like TikTok, here you will also get the option of video speed, with the help of which you can make your video either in slow-mo or in speed. Apart from this, you will also get the option of Align, so that the creator can create a video by being located in the right position in front of the camera. Augmented reality effects have also been given to make the video more fun.

This feature is available in other countries testing While doing this, Instagram was advised in the feedback from the creators to give a separate space to explore the reels post. After this, the app has created a separate section for reels, in which you can watch reels videos of different content creators. Similar to IGTV video, there will be a Reels section in the user’s app profile where all the reels content can be viewed.

Instagram says it is working closely with popular content creators and public figures to increase the popularity of Reels content. When this test is rolled out, users will be able to watch videos of these content creators including Ammy Virk (3.3 million fans on TikTok), Gippy Grewal (1.7 million fans), Arjun Kanungo (15 lakh fans), Radhika Bangia (5.4 million fans) , RJ Abhinav (16 lakh fans) and Indrani Biswas aka Wonder Munna (630K subscribers on YouTube) etc.
