HP has created a good foothold among the users with its budget stream laptops. Stream series was started two years ago for cloud computing. Its laptops come with basic specifications like big battery, sleek design and affordable price of $199 to $250. After Stream 11 and 13, now HP has introduced Stream 14 laptop launched Is. As the name suggests, the 14-inch laptop is priced at $219 (approximately Rs 14,600) and is expected to be available in the market from September.

The Stream 14 laptop is an upgraded variant of the Stream 13 and features changes in specifications as well as in design. The Stream 14 comes with a fast dual-antenna 802.11ac Wi-Fi, a new Intel Celeron processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of flash storage, 100GB of OneDrive cloud storage, and a 1366×768 resolution display. These specifications may not sound attractive but at this price point it is a worthy laptop to buy.

The original Stream laptop was shipped with Windows 8.1 while the Stream 14 laptop came with Windows 10. The new HP laptop will be available in Blue, Purple and White color variants.

The most important improvement that has been made in this laptop is the battery life. The battery life of the Stream 14 is 10 hours and 35 minutes, which is very good for a laptop with a starting price. Apart from this, other stream laptops have also been upgraded. The new Stream 11 will be available on August 24 for $199 (approximately Rs 13,300) with faster Wi-Fi, upgraded processor and thinner body.

The 11.6-inch Stream X360 laptop/tablet hybrid will also get similar hardware upgrades. The price of this device starts at $249 (roughly Rs.16,600) and is expected to arrive in September. Apart from this, there is also an educational variant Stream 11 Pro in which 64 GB storage option has been given with security improvements.
