Microsoft started the bug finding program from the year 2012 itself. Now it has been extended to Windows 10 as well. According to a post posted on the company’s website late Wednesday, a reward will be given for reporting any critical bug, code execution, elevation of privilege or design flaw, that threatens customer’s privacy and security.
the company said while announcing“If a researcher reports a bug that Microsoft already knows about, the first person to report it will be paid a maximum of 10 percent of the highest amount.”
Other technology companies such as Google, Facebook and Apple have similarly rewarded those who find bugs and defects in their software.
