First of all, about the ZenBook 3 laptop, Asus says that this laptop is thinner than the MacBook Air and works faster than the MacBook. This laptop has the world’s thinnest 3 mm fan and has a screen to body ratio of 82 percent. The ZenBook 3 sports a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 panel and the laptop is claimed to offer up to 9 hours of battery life. Coming with Quick Charge, this laptop is said to be charged up to 60 percent in 49 minutes. The laptop will be available in Royal Blue, Quartz Grey, Rose Gold colors with a gold-backlit keyboard.
The ZenBook 3 (UX390) sports a 12.5-inch display, Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and a 1TB PCIe x4 SSD. The laptop costs $1,999. It costs $99 in the Core i5 variant with 4 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD. The weight of the laptop is 910 grams and the thickness is 11.9 millimeters. The ZenBook 3 also has a fingerprint reader.
Now let’s talk about Asus Transformer 3 Pro (T303). The company says that this laptop-tablet hybrid is thinner than the Surface Pro 4 and its thickness is 8.35 mm. Harman Kardon audio has been given in this laptop with dual speakers and it is estimated to be four times louder than the Surface Pro 4.
The top model of Asus Transformer 3 Pro sports a 12.6-inch (2880×1920 pixels) resolution display. Apart from this, this laptop has been given Intel Core i7 processor, 16 GB RAM, up to 1 TB SSD storage, 13 megapixel rear camera, Thunderbolt 3, full size USB 3.0 port, USB 3.0 port and full size HDMI port. This hybrid device will be launched with a mobile hub accessory (Asus Universal Dock) for the second port. Also available is a stylus with a 1,024 pressal level, a Bluetooth speaker for quad speakers and an external Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card. The Transformer 3 Pro price (with keyboard and stylus pen) starts at $999.
The Transformer 3 (T305) was also unveiled at the event. The weight of this device is 695 grams and the thickness is 6.9 mm. The device features a 12.6-inch (2880×1920 pixels) resolution screen with a screen-to-body ratio of 80 percent. Apart from the quad speaker support of Harman Kardon Audio, it also has fingerprint reader and Windows Hello biometric authentication support. Along with this, support up to Intel Core i7 processor, up to 512 GB SSD and up to 8 GB RAM support is available in this laptop. This device claims to get 9 hours of battery life. The base model starts at $799 with a keyboard dock.
Asus also unveiled the Transformer Mini (T102) at the Xenvolution event. The company has described it as the world’s lightest two-in-one device. It is equipped with a magnesium-aluminum alloy design and weighs 79- grams with the keyboard. It weighs just 530 grams without the keyboard. The Transformer Mini is 8.2mm thin and sports a 10.1-inch display. The company has promised to get up to 11 hours of battery life in this device. The Transformer Mini comes with a fingerprint sensor and Windows Hello biometric authentication support.
